DENVER – Blind Joe is a 10-year-old totally blind Parson Russell Terrier.
He came into the Adams County Animal Shelter as a stray after he was found wandering in traffic.
The shelter was able to buy him a blind dog “halo” which he is adapting to very well. The halo keeps him from bumping his head.
He is currently in foster care and is house trained. He’s great with other dogs and would benefit from a buddy with vision – just like his very own seeing-eye dog.
The shelter says if he is adopted into a home with stairs, they would need to have baby gates up for his safety.
Blind Joe likes squeaky toys, enjoys scratches and round beds. Shelter workers say he’s pretty quiet.
