A terminally ill dog was given the chance to have a final trip to the seaside thanks to the generosity of Exeter residents.
Alecia Louise took to social media to find a bike trailer that could be used to take Charlie, a German Shepard cross, to the beach before his battle with canine epilepsy got the better of him. The 8 year old’s condition left him unable to walk and sadly he was put to sleep just two hours after his trip.
The dog owner was left overwhelmed by the responses she received. She said:”Apart from all the offers of buggies for sale I was inundated with buggies for free. I collected one and took him for some fresh air the day he was put to sleep.
“I was overwhelmed by the kindness of people and would like to say thank you to everyone who got in touch.”
