Los Angeles, CA – Jake, a blind dog found wandering the streets of Los Angeles, was recently featured as TheAnimalRescueSite.com‘s “dog of the day.”

He was taken to a shelter where his original owners found him, but “opted not to pay the minimal fee of $20” to bring him home. According to the website, they decided he “wasn’t worth it.”

However, others saw Jake’s charm — including his new owner Heidi.

In a video posted to the site, Heidi says she immediately loved the pup but already had multiple pooches at home. She kept going back to visit him at the shelter over the next three weeks, and ended up finally adopting him.

Based on the heartwarming video of his rescue, it looks like he’s adjusted just fine!
