A SICK and frightened dog has been stolen from underneath his owner’s nose while walking in a reserve in Melbourne’s Northwest yesterday afternoon.

Megan Solomon said her husband, Paul, was walking their Japanese chin dog, Chester, on a track near Loongana Ave, Glenroy, about 5.15pm when the pair passed a group of four teenage boys.

Ms Solomon said her husband took his eye off Chester “for two seconds” before realising he was no longer next to him, and noticed two of the boys running up a nearby hill.

When he asked the other two boys whether they had seen a small black and white dog, they directed him in the opposite direction.

Mr Solomon was unable to find Chester after searching the area tirelessly……. [Read more on Herald Sun]
