A blind pit bull mix, named Poly who needed medical attention, was abandoned in a Santa Maria park until a nonprofit rescued her….


Late last month, an animal control officer in Santa Maria found a blind pit bull mix named “Poly,” alone and frightened on a park bench.

Poly’s owner never came forward to claim her and Santa Barbara County Animal Services made a plea for help.

“It’s now coming to the point where we need to ask for help outside our area, to find her a rescue that’s willing to take her and give her the love and attention she deserves and most importantly, a place where she gets to live out her life. She deserves to experience love, predictability, and for someone just to love her, because she really is that special,” was written on their Facebook page.
